We recommend booking your newborn session during pregnancy, ideally between months 7-8. This ensures we have your preferred date available. Once your baby arrives, contact us within the first few days so we can schedule the session for the ideal 5-14 day window.

A typical newborn session lasts 2-3 hours. This allows us plenty of time to get the baby settled, work through various setups and poses, and capture beautiful, unhurried moments. We often take multiple breaks to ensure your baby is comfortable and fed.

Where do you conduct the sessions?

I offer sessions in my professional studio, which is fully equipped with heating, natural light, and all necessary props and backdrops. I also offer in-home sessions if you prefer. Both options create beautiful, comfortable settings for your baby's photos.

What areas do you serve?

I offer studio sessions for families in the local area and surrounding regions. For in-home sessions, my service area extends throughout the nearby region. Contact me to confirm availability for your location—I'm sometimes able to travel for special bookings.

How should I prepare my home for an in-home session?

Keep your space clean and warm—I need the room temperature around 75-80°F for the baby's comfort. Clear one area for shooting, ensure good natural light near windows, and keep pets in another room during the session. I'll handle most of the setup, but a calm, quiet environment helps tremendously.

What to Expect During the Session

What should my baby wear?

I have a collection of beautiful outfits, wraps, hats, and accessories available for use during the session. You're welcome to bring special pieces you'd like to include. I recommend comfortable, simple clothing for parents, as you'll be in some photos too. Dress in neutral tones for best results.

Can I include siblings or family members?

Absolutely! Family moments are wonderful to capture. We can include parents, siblings, and other family members in the photos. These create lasting memories of your growing family. Details about including siblings can be discussed during your consultation.

What if my baby is fussy during the session?

Fussy babies are completely normal! I have years of experience working with newborns and know how to soothe and position them safely. We take breaks as needed, and I'm patient and flexible. The session will still be beautiful, though we may need extra time or rescheduling if necessary.

Do you offer feeding sessions or lifestyle photos?

Yes! Beyond studio newborn photos, I also offer lifestyle and documentary-style sessions capturing genuine moments—feeding, cuddles, and those precious everyday interactions. These complement studio photos beautifully and create a comprehensive record of your baby's arrival.

How many photos will I receive?

You'll receive a beautifully curated collection of edited images. The exact number depends on your package, but expect between 30-60+ of your favorite moments, professionally edited and ready to print or display digitally.

When will I get my photos?

Edited photos are typically ready within 2-3 weeks after your session. You'll receive a preview gallery before the final delivery, and we can request any adjustments or additional edits you'd like.

Do you offer prints and albums?

Yes! I offer premium prints on museum-quality paper, beautiful albums, and canvas prints. These can be ordered after you receive your edited photos, and I'm happy to guide you through the selection process to create heirloom-quality products.
